What is elgooG?

elgooG is the "mirror site" is a site for us to see copies of other sites, it has the advantage of reducing network traffic or content available. elgooG spelled backwards is from Google, it is a mirror image of Google and a bit different than the original.
But according to you using any web browser, the type of cell search backwards from right to left, the result of it will be visible to the rear. You can search for words or back, but it will knock the other way round.

Is this a joke?

Yes. elgooG is a counterfeit web site design and hosting by all too flat, a parody and comedy sites.

This site is designed like a children's joke, but it has been operating and maintaining for many years and always updated correctly cycles to catch up with changes in Google's main page. Search results in elgooG is removed from the search engine Google carried, and then reversed using Python.
elgooG have "hecraS elgooG" and a button "ykuL gnileeF m" to mirror Google Search Google and I'm feeling Lucky button. It even has a link to an example of the services Google Even Google page list.
Some links lead directly to the Google services, and others go to a mirror site. Some browsers may behave differently than others, and sometimes a mirrored site not listed in the search results. It is entirely possible to forgive, because that's a joke.
elgooG and China
China implement Internet censorship and blocking websites they deem inappropriate in so-called "Great Firewall of China." In 2002, Google has been blocked by the Chinese government. New Scientist has reported that elgooG not blocked, so Chinese users had a back door method of access to search engines.
More likely, it never occurred to the Chinese government that although elgooG is parody, results actually come from Google.
Since then, China and Google has had a rocky relationship. Google censors results in China (and was criticized in the West for doing so), and then withdraw from mainland China completely, directing all to censor results Hong Kong.
